This accommodates average and slightly above-average individuals, especially when considering that a headrest adds about 10 inches to the length of the table. If in doubt, go with 73". Sixty-Five inches is a popular size for massage tables. Although 73" is by far the industry standard, this size accommodates therapists who want a lighter table and whose clients are average or slightly below-average in stature. Keep in mind that a headrest will add 10" to the length of a table.
Width
Popular massage table widths range from 27" to 32", although some are smaller and larger. Clearly, the width of the table affects the weight of the table; so many massage therapists want the least wide table possible. However, it is important to keep your clientele in mind when choosing a width. Football players are, in general, bulky and wide, and will need the maximum width available/ seniors and other small-statured individuals may easily fit on a smaller table.
